In a time when we are amplifying the concepts and practices of People Leadership and Shared Leadership, there is no one better to learn from about these collective ways of leading, than our global indigenous communities. The community practices of Indigeneity precede colonial times, and foster collectivism in all aspects of life and work within regions all over the world. What can we learn about leadership through an indigenous lens, and how does it differ from modern or western concepts of leadership? This conversation aims to lift up the wisdom of those who have come before us, in an effort to learn and deepen our own sensibilities towards socially conscious leadership.

It includes

  • Defining leadership through an indigenous perspective

  • The difference between indigenous and western leadership philosophy and practices

  • What we can learn from the indigenous youth

  • The importance of allyship and indigenous representation across industries

  • And much more!
